Salad, Any Way You Like It

As summer trudges on, cooling salads offer a reprieve. It may come as little surprise, then, that Hetty McKinnon’s cold noodle salad with spicy peanut sauce (above) was the most popular recipe on New York Times Cooking this week, followed by Melissa Clark’s herby three-bean salad and Sue Li’s grilled corn and avocado salad with feta dressing. And for purists, there’s David Tanis’s Little Gem salad with garlicky almond dressing, requiring no more than five ingredients, refreshing in its simplicity.
